My husband Ken and I (Jill) have recently adopted a 11 month old Macaw named Gonzo. His previous owner is family and already had a year old Green Wing Macaw. The Green Wing was getting jealous, not getting enough attention and was beginning to exhibit bad behavior. Gonzo wasn't getting enough attention either so brother gave the bird and cage to us. At first we were very nervous about ownership (as it made us both bleed within the first few days of meeting him). We set him up in a dog crate and drove him over 900 miles to his new home. Gonzo took no time at all with falling in love with me and in like with Ken. He began to talk (which previous owners didn't hear much from him) and play through the cage. It's been 2 weeks now and he has become a great part of our family. He loves his owners and family.
