New bird owner

Hello all
I am the proud new owner of a canary winged parakeet. I've learned that these birds are also called canary winged parrots or bee- bee parrots/ parakeets. By any name, my birdie - Magic - is a sweetie. Magic is 6 months old and I have had her/him for 2 weeks! I am learning how to care for and bond with my birdie. At this time Magic is quiet but she seems to be warming up and becoming more vocal. I love bird calls! Magic is super friendly and loves to hang out on my shoulders, hiding behind my hair. I have a zillions questions but I'll read the forum for a while to see if some of my questions have been addressed. I am soooo excited and a bit nervous. So far things are going well.
