my eclectus is very moody she seems to go in and out of nesting i have bad for about 2 months and she very odd if i take her out she seems to love making a nest with my blanket when i try to take her out she lounges at me when she does bite she doesn't let go she also over preens i brought her to vet he gave a spray but it doesn't seem to do much have any ideas ? i have different perches and a bell toy she seem to like anything else :(

I'm sorry, I don't see the problem. Do you want her nesting? Is she just overpreening her stomach/chest, if so then shes just making a brooding patch for her eggs.

It is just that time of year. My female is also in a mood. She has been a little nippy and cranky and screaming a little. It will pass. Just work on some training with her like step ups with a treat. If she doesn't step up out of her cage right away, then just leave her alone and try again later. Do not let her go anywhere near anything that she can make a nest out of. This only makes things worse.

i allow my goffin to roam my room since most of the time he will just snuggle under me buy my eclectus is very odd i don't want her to attack me or start to nest im okay with being bit because that happens no matter what

Your probably encouraging her in some sort of way. You need to discourage her everytime!!! Don't put her around a blanket, don't let her go anywhere dark (basically under or in something), don't let her get on the floor, don't let her get in your clothes, etc! What diet are you feeding her? You should watch where your petting her as certain area encourages her.

i give her seeds, fruits and veggies. i want to stop feeding as much seeds but she doesn't seem to eat all her veggies and fruits, she puts all her food in her water bowl 0.o. i don't allow her to do those things is there i way i can teach her to step up on my fingers instead of my wrist ?

When your feeding fruits and veggies, remove the seed dish. Limit the amount of seeds she gets, between my pair they get just a table spoon a day. Mainly the smaller seeds like millets and get just a few sunflower seeds. 2 per bird....you need to be persistent!!! Is it wrong for her to feel comfortable to step up on your wrist? You can train her to do fingers but it will take her some time to get used to the new idea, she was probably raised to stepup onto wrist.

im not sure what the connection of pink toys and her laying an egg another thing about her stepping up is i feels like she isn't stable i believe thats the main reason why she bites im gonna try to get a picture of her when she goes on her perch
