My Roses as on 4th April 2014

What beautiful assortment! I can tell you've put a lot of hard work in them. Not a spot of blight anywhere! Good work!

Beautiful. I think I can spot "Belinda's Dream"?????

Do you know the names of your roses? Can you please tell me what they are called? :D

300 rose bushes? PARADISE!!! Can I move in...pretty please? :D

I saw Double Delight and wanted to cry. That's one of the ones I've lost this past winter. :( I won't be replacing it either as it was quite prone to black spot. I see you have some high maintenance prima donnas there. Do you spray at all? How do you keep them disease free? Do you live in a rather dry climate?

GORGEOUS!!!! I bet your garden smells AMAZING!!!!!

300 rose bushes?!?!? My MIL also loves roses and had quite the rose garden going- but they had to dig up and transplant probably about 3 dozen rose bushes recently

Well black spot is some thing which is faced by the rose growers World wide.We can not eliminate it completley but can control it.Don,t sprinkle water over the foliage specially in the evening.Black spot, Powdery mildew,Downy mildew are the few disease that my roses face in Moonsoon.I use to spray fungicides those days on roses.

I never water the foliage, however, we do get plenty of rain here, plus humidity, so I spray those that are highly susceptible.

Umar, can I be a nuisance and ask you to edit your posts and insert the names of your roses please? Is the first picture Candy Stripe? And the second St Patrick? I'm not completely sure of the others but would love to know the name of the lovely cream blooms before Double Delight. I think DD is everyone's favourite rose for the lovely perfume and the rich colours of the blooms. We have two bushes growing in our yard and, wouldn't you know it, Dominic likes eating the blooms when we cut them and put them on our table! If I'm not quick to grab the vase, he'll run to it like a shot and nip the flower off before I can stop him. Then he makes a meal of it. :(

Is the purplish rose called Ebb Tide? And what are the two yellow ones at the end?

I could look at roses all day long. :) :) :)
