My New Bird Room!

I LOVE IT!!!! :D And I LOVE green! This appears to be more of an "olive" color, right Blanca? Turned out GORGEOUS!!! I bet you can't wait to have it filled with a bunch of cages now. ;)

Glad you like it Wendy! :D

I was thinking more jungle when I picked this color. It is a deep olive green. It's called grape vine I believe. I've got a few plans to decorate the walls, then I will organize all "their stuff" and bring them in. Yay! More pictures will follow!

So we're painting a jungle on the walls?!?!!!??!

Can I come help! lol

I like the green! Looks great!

I like Monica's idea- you should paint a jungle theme on the walls! That reminds me of when I did some murals for a winery- (it was in the house on the property) I did a jungle theme in the nursery, and the lady liked it so much she had me paint some macaws in her bathroom!

Not sure of the total plan yet but leaves are probably going to be involved! Lol!

My husband loves my photography and suggested we frame pics of our fids and hang them in there. So that is defiantly in the plan!

Room looks great. If I had multiple birds, I would probably convert a bedroom to a bird room.

If you have multiple birds living together in one room will they bond with each other?

that would look great, but you will probably end up with poopies all over your beatuiful photos.
my birds love to perch on our paintings, and I just hate looking at all the droppings...:11:

My big guys wouldn't perch on them and the linnies would be supervised. I'm not worried. ;)

I just ordered 3 of these trees for the bird room today on Amazon. I've been thinking about getting decals for over a month, but to buy more then one was pricey. This tree was simple, beautiful and a great price.

Here are the organizing bins I got for the birds. I love sharing each little tid bit with you guys, then the grand unveiling will come at the end when all is complete!
I have these cube racks set up in front of each window in the bird room. The top large bin holds 2 large pales with lids which I store pellets, nuts and nutriberries in. It is a great way to hide the buckets and make the room look a little nicer!

I had little storage bins made with each of the birds names on it. Yes, I'm splurging! LOL!

I moved Quincys cage into the bird room yesterday. It took me an hour! :th_shocking: It barely fit through my doors and I had to take the door off the bird room to get it through. But at least I didn't have to take it apart! LOL!

I hope this inspires some of you and give you ideas on ways to organize your bird stuff!

 Blanca, those bins, and the entire arrangements are GORGEOUS!!!!!

Can you come over and redo my house, please????? :D

You have superb taste, girlfriend!!! I LOVE the ideas you come up with, and the room will be a show stopper....if it isn't already. ;)

Thanks Wendy! ;) I have been having loads of fun decorating this room. I figured a gorgeous room for my gorgeous birds! Even if there is a risk of it getting chomped on now and then! LOL! :D

Right back at ya girlfriend! We know how to decorate our homes! ;) The best part is putting it together, it is soooo much fun!

I have an old laminent floor in the bird room that looks like bricks. It was there when we bought the house and still in good condition. So it was perfect for the bird room.

My dinning room has laminent flooring that looks like hardwood floors. To protect that I put down vinyl I bought at the fabric store. It's easy to clean.

I only have play gyms in carpeted areas and I make sure they have good trays to catch the mess!

That is so cool! What an awesome idea. A room just for your birds. Looks trendy too :)

Thanks! I never considered anything I do very trendy! LOL!

The OCD in me is screaming with joy at those pics.

I know I have a touch of OCD! LOL! I get a bit obsessive when I get into a project. But it gives me the drive to get it done! :D
