One of my all time favorite foster birds was one of those...

He was trick trained, and had PERFECT MANNERS!!!

IT HURT TO LET HIM GO WHEN HE WAS ADOPTED OUT, BUT I ALREADY HAD TOO MANY BIRDS... SO IT WAS FOR THE BEST.

Needless to say, it did not take long to find him a home. He was not given up, either. His owner died. He was well loved his whole life...

Congratulations! What an adorable little fluffball! You must post lots of homecoming photos.

Congratulations on your adorable little Corella! I hope you will share some pictures soon! :)

That's lovely he found a great home. I hope he didn't grieve too badly when his owner died. I fostered one too years ago too when I was a vet nurse. Lovely bird, and I would have kept him if I'd had the time to give him. He went to another vet nurse though so I know he was/is looked after.

I will definitely post homecoming pics! Hopefully in about three weeks, just in time for Christmas! He's still taking formula as you can see by the goop around his beak. I still need to get some more toys and things for him and get his cage cleaned and set up.

I'm not too worried about how our GCC will take it as she's very adaptable and has handled change well so far. We had a sulphur crested living with us for a short time last year, moved house and baby sat a pair of budgies this year and she handled them all really well. She's a really good sport!

What a dear baby! Have you started thinking about names yet?
