Hi All, I've had my new baby home just over a week now and I just adore this bird, he/she is suck a sweetheart.

I've have had Mango just under 2 wks, he is not loud at all (that could change lol) He does his morning call and his evening call but thats it, his calls are not loud at all. Im a stay at home Mom and Mango is out all day except if I have to run out. He has tons of toys and treats to keep him busy and the whole family is involved with him. He seems to be very happy, he has never tried to bite at all and he will let us all pet him and we even give him kisses and his head, he seems to like it. I absolutly love him and we're so so happy to have him.

CONGRATS!!! Another alex in the house! haha!! I just got one too how old is Mango is it a he or a she? The only thing with mine he is noisy and compared to my queen of bavaria it is ear piercing..My QOB gets loud but not as high pitch but I still love my alex. I was wondering could you pet yours mine doesn't like to be pet just talks. Anyways congrats and good luck with the new bird!!!

Kobe629, Mango is only 7 months old and I havent done DNA so dont know if he is a he or she is a she...lol. How old is your Alex? Mango is very sweet he does luv for us to pet him but. He has never attempted to bite my children 11 and 14 or myself. He does do this thing to me where he rubs his beak up and down my hand and licks me with his tongue. He really is such a sweetie and cant think of anything negative to say. Having said that, he is only 7 months and he can and probably will change a bit. We are hoping with all the attention he gets from all of us he/she will continue to love us all.

Good to hear he is doing well. As far as DNA it's up to you because by the time he is 3 he will either grow a black ring to see if he is a male or female..My alex is 4 years old he is a rehomes bird which I recently picked up 4 days ago but I have been visiting him for the past month. My alex seems really sweet as of now I know he is still adjusting like yours but he does talk quite a bit and whistles..So far everyday he is making or saying new words or sounds we never heard him say before. Its just interesting to see what he will say or what sound he will make just this morning when my wife took him out he just said nite nite which is new..Also he keeps making these beep sounds like a house alarm I'm guessing the pervious owner had a alarm I'm guessing.. But it nice to see other people her with alex's put up more pic and let us know your finding with him or her congrats and have fun..

thats funny mango licks you becuase Jimmy does exactly the same! He doesn't like being petted though unless first thing in am when he gets out of his cage and then he'll have lovely cuddle. He's quite quiet too and only talks certain times of day, he's 8 months old.
