My melon OBSESSION

I brought home a Tuscan summer sweet yellow melon today, has anyone ever heard of it? And is it ok for the birds?

MyFlock, I've only heard of Tuscan Cantaloupe. But Tuscan Summer Sweet Yellow? Wow, someone made up a long name for it lol. Never heard of it. I think there are all sorts of hybird melons out there nowdays going by these different names. Did you eat it yet? Was it yellow and sweet?

Stephen, you must be allergic to melon . Too bad, but there are lots of other yummy summer fruits out now!

I believe it was mis-labeled, I looked up some images of it online with the Tuscan label but it didn't fit, however it did fit a canary melon and tastes just like it was described so that's what I think I have. I like it, it tastes like a cross between a honey dew and cantaloupe. I always try out different fruits and veggies on the birds. Griffin Loves his morning cup of fresh fruits and veggies, he waits right by his fresh food bowl each morning waiting for me to fill it up. Tomorrow they're having raspberries, blueberries, sweet peppers, kale and some canary melon. I also have sweet corn, snow peas and organic strawberries and other peppers....spoiled birds

I recently had a Canary. It's ehh, okay, not my favorite but I do like that one frozen. I'd say it's similar to a honeydew but I don't taste cantaloupe in it. Football shape and solid yellow.

Yep, that's what it was foot ball shaped and a bright yellow like a canary.
