My Macaw has major Humor

I have two dogs A Corgi and a Jack. We live on 4 acres of land When dogs need to come in we just whistle for them........ yeah guess you can see where this is headed
Last night sitting in the living room watching tv. Both dogs laying in there beds . Big Bird was just sitting on his perch . All of a sudden he whistled and sounded just like me. Both dogs jumped up and ran to the cage. Big Bird looked down and with a very evil sound said HA HA HA HA HA
Cracked me up . Now I was worried about the Dogs bothering the Macaw when I got him. Now I guess i better worry about Big Bird teasing the dogs

Oh yeah, they will call the dogs.

We had macaws that told the dogs to come, and to sit, and the dogs would do it... and they would pick stuff out of the food bowls, and toss it to the dogs. Feeding the dogs, and seeing what they could get the dogs to do, for some reason was really entertaining to the macaws.

The dogs were best buddies with the big macs... because the big macs gave them food. So, it was a mutual thing... (IF the dogs and birds have been properly socialized.)

LOL He hates the pellets in his seed so throws them out of the cage. Both dogs run to get it. Well he either hated the pellets or he is enjoying making friends with the dogs. Until you said something I really did not think of him as feeding the dogs lol

Haha, I think Big Bird may be using the dogs for his own entertainment rather than entertaining the dogs. Some of our parrots could probably give Cesar Milan a few tips on dog training.

Yeah, and when you have visitors, and the bird is entertaining himself by calling the dog by name, and telling the dog to sit, and roll over, and the dog is doing it, and the bird is tossing the dog treats as a reward....

There is your Dr. Doolittle moment for the day...

My CAG has left a lasting impression on people that way from time to time...

I have said it 100 times since I got Big Bird and I will say it again. They are amazing. How anyone can be mean to one is beyond my understanding.
