I won't have any bird pictures for a while-so here's what I do live with.
Oh and these are all nicknames. I don't use real names on the internet.
From right to left: my husband Kronk, Scooby, Sweet Pea, Pingu, and Foxx.
Scooby pretending to squirt everybody. He just turned two. We call him happy boy because he is the most smiley and giggly kid I've ever met. He is my cuddlebug and has been especially charming with learning to talk lately.
Pingu giving my niece a hug. Pingu is five and learning to read. He is goofy and loves to make up stories about his elephant Peanut.
Sweet Pea is my little firecracker. She goes back and forth between sweet and sassy. She has learned to make her voice known in the middle of the three brothers. She loves babies and animals. Her favorite animals are ponies and she has a huge My Little Pony collection.
Foxx was my firstborn, my initiation into parenting. He was a crazy toddler and I had to learn everything the hard way! But I've learned a lot from him. He is very sensitive, very intelligent, very persistent, and very intense. He went from kindy level to fifth grade reading level in our year of homeschooling last year. He gives everything 100%, notices everything, and never forgets anything! He is also a very sensitive and kind soul, generous and outgoing. He makes friends with everybody he meets. He plays a few video games like Mario Cart and Paper Mario. He is turning seven in the fall.
So my job is taking care of this lot and although it has made me more than my share of crazy it's been an adventure worth having. We didn't plan on having four kids in five years, it just happened that way and now we have these incredible little people with us and growing up faster than we thought possible. Pingu and Foxx will go to school in the fall and it will be strange having the house be quieter. This summer we've been mostly hanging around with occassional adventures to parks.
They are very excited about getting a parrot. We recently got a pair of rats (we hadn't had any pets before this as a family!) and they have been learning alongside of me. Foxx can recognize several parrot species now! They are all very gentle and careful with critters. Any parrot we get will be me and my husband's responsibility but it will flock with all of us.
