skunks spray when they feel threatened .... could be because of a cat or dog, a car, a sound, anything like that. It is their defense mechanism and after spraying, they run away.
No, but from talking to someone else we have come to this: the skunk who lives near here probably sprayed the dog next door. The people next door don't take good care of their pets (they let their cat go un-spayed and results in litter after litter of kittens which they sell; and their dog, which is aggressive, is kept outside - they never have their gate closed so the poor dog runs all over the place - we live on a very busy road). Anyways it smells like the skunk had sprayed in their front yard and knowing how they are it was probably their dog that got nailed by it.
knowing me...I would probably trap that cat and spay it...I am a nut like that..and I work at a vet clinic untill I go off to college (except the fact that I am in Poland right now)
I can't stand when people come into work and have as little brains as that...honestly...
After working at a clinic for almost two years you see some dumb stuff....and people.
I have worked int he pet industry for a few years (not presently but previously), and the level of peoples intellect never seizes to amaze me. I'd LOVE to snach that kitty and find it a new, good home, but thats kinda stealing, and I really don't feel like having a police record.
When I had my store (just supplies, cat and dog mainly, and small animal, fish stuff, and sme bird stuff .... not much demand for bird stuff where my store was) and managed another store, I was embarrassed on peoples behalf because they just did not get "it" far too often. Otherwise intelligent people with brains and IQs, and they are completely lost about obviously simple and basic things. Just amazing.
