All is well with my flock over here. I need to be more active on the forums. I'm pretty constantly on my blog *shameless plug* but will start to spend more time here.

How's everyone?

Hey great to see you and your flock again, no wonder you are grinning from ear to ear. Your birds are beautiful. How did Kyleigh take to having a new friend?

You have a lot to catch us up on! LOL, welcome back.

Hey, Stephen! Welcome back! Kyleigh and Aaliyah are looking good! You're going to have to post more pics than that, though. Lots of catching up to do, buddy. Lol!

What a happy looking trio!

Actually, the rule is that no members are allowed to post links to Facebook parrot groups, same as you couldn't post to a competing parrot forum. But what Stephen posted was a link to his personal blog. Links to personal blogs are tolerated to an extent, so long as it does not happen too frequently, and as such are judged on a case by case basis.

We've got a lot of catching up to do, haha. Aaliyah...turned out to be a boy. Breeder lied to me and told me I had a girl because they knew I wanted a girl.

Whaaaaaaaaaaaat?!? Wow, not even remotely cool. Have you changed his name? Ali, perhaps? Or Al?

Hi! Nice to "meet" you!
What a handsome (and shameless.. who could blame you?) bunch?
On my way to your Facebook!

Steven, I don't know who has a bigger smile on their face...you or your flock lol.. gorgeous birds there my friend!

Oh wow Stephen, what a shock to learn your girl is a boy! Despicable if the breeder knew all along! Still... absolutely gorgeous birds!! :)

Just curious, can I ask what made you confirm the gender?

They're easy to smile about! Except on cage cleaning days. Lol.

Hey you! Long time no speak! Well, when I picked "her" up, I asked for the gender certificate. I noticed both breeders stumbled over their words in response. They said they didn't have it. So, I asked who they did the DNA through so I could call them. They didn't have an answer for me.

Later the day one of the breeders called me and told me they have their own way of sexing. They used a pendulum to determine sex. Yes, a swinging pendulum. She told me it was right 99% of the time.

I talked to my vet and they did the DNA for me. And we found out I have a boy.

I would have been looking for those crossed fingers behind their backs LOL :)
