This is from yesterday..He/she is still sleeping a lot and gaining weight. We are a few grams under where I would like, but getting steady growth. After I took this picture, his head crashed and he was sleep lol.

He/she is SO cute! Look at that prickly little butt and wings:D Baby is busy growing in beautiful plumage, no wonder he/she's so sleepy;)

What a precious baby!!!

GAAAHHH!!! Look at this precious baby B&G!!!

What's his weight? I honestly wouldn't concern myself too awfully much if he/she is a few grams under. They go through some growth spurts, and he/she may catch up rather soon. :)

AWWW I just love baby pictures...what a cutie!

That picture was from Day 30 and he was 650 grams on the dot. I plan on going back there today or tomorrow!

I work in technology, so I can get caught up in numbers really easy lol

That is so cool! I never realized baby B&Gs had blue feather lining on their eye patch. Well, can check off learning something new for today!

Please keep the pics coming! And congrats on your new sweetie.

If it doesn't annoy everyone, I'll most likely post a new picture 2-3 times a week lol...

Mostly likely in this thread.

Not sure whether I gave you this link before...but it's a good one. :)
Blue & Gold Macaw Growth Rate Documentation and Photos From Hatch to Flight...

Yup, I have been using it as a guide line to make sure everything is going well. My breeder is great, but I like to be informed on my own. One thing I did notice is that Zulie, the bird on this website, is a lot 'cleaner' it seems. I typically have to remove the wood shaving/chips or dried formula from my baby. Should this be something I mention to the breeder?

I'm not fond of caked on formula. It's easy enough to just clean baby right after he's been fed, if you know what I mean. :) All it takes is a warm, damp cloth to gently clean off any leftover formula.

As for the shavings, it's pretty normal if some are stuck at this age. I remember my Niko always had some attached to him somewhere, LOL. As baby feathers out, they shouldn't get stuck any more since there won't be any more prickly feathers poking through. :)
