The big molts seem to last 2 or so months.
Though, birds lose feathers in smaller amounts throughout the year.
The big molts seem to make lots of pins appear, and that’s when they shed old flights and tail feathers.
You’ll notice, if they lose one on one side of the wing/tail, usually the same day, the opposite one falls out too.

Molting is dependent on seasonal changes in the wild, with a heavy molt prior to big seasonal changes. In captivity, that molting cycle is not so well defined and can take awhile to complete. 2 months would be a close to natural cycle, in captivity 3 or more would not be unusual.
