I have been watching this for the past few nights with Elsa and it puts a smile on my face every single night...I usually sing a lullaby to each of them just before I cover their cages. Peter Pan and Elsa hop out on my finger for their lulaby and then get another verse when I place them back on the perch...with Mr Biggles its different he likes to hold a peanut in his fist in a slowly darkening cage so I slowly pull the cage cover over as I sing and then when hes sll covered and I stop singing I hear this little cute sound in Zon from the cage which tells me he's comf cosy for the night and then I hear no more out of him until morning :)
Elsa however would actually fall asleep in my hand if I let her and I have to quickly place her back on her perch before I finish the lulaby and cover her cage...I lingered with her in my hand tonight so I could video her falling asleep for you guys...this always makes me smile at the end of the day :)

Mary, that is sooo sweet! You have a lovely singing voice and Miss Elsa Budgie is just precious falling asleep on your finger. I sing to my flock every night too, the poor things, they must never hear your voice, they'd cry at their rotten luck.

Awwww look at those heavy little budgie eyes:) Very sweet!

Hee hee nice of you to say so Allee but I can never stay in tune while singing...but our parrots love our voices whether we are in tune or not...Elsa however is the very first bird Ive ever succeeded in actually putting to sleep with a lullaby hee hee I think its so funny when just like a bsby her eyelids start to fall LoL :)

Mary, how absolutely precious! I agree with Allee, you have such a beautiful, soothing voice:)
I also sing to my birds, poor babies.

Oh wow! The cuteness! I can't sing to Nigel, he probably would mimic me and then everyone would know what I sound like...really bad!

She does this routine of the eyelids getting heavy and closing every night when I go to say good night and tuck her in (well cover her cage) and Im not sure whether its for real or she is outwitting me because the eyelids get heavy and close at the exact same point in the lullaby every night but whether she is outwitting me or not I find it puts a smile on my face as I say good night and close the curtains on another day :)
