Sorry about your hand. OUCH! It doesn't really look like a bite to me. More like he wanted to secure himself to be on your hand because he was unsure of the shower head moving. If it was a real bite, beside the hole from the top beak, you would also have a slit underneath from the bottom beak......

Thank goodness he was just holding for security, imagine if he was not BIG EINA.
I actually do have a bruise on the other side of my hand, did not come out clearly in a picture. It is soft and tender, more so because of an old hand, nerve injury occurring 10 years ago.

It is more of a fright then anything , unless it's a real bad bite , then it's both !
That will heal , but it takes longer for our brain to tell our hand that it's not scared of

Mishka is truly so sorry, when taking him to his night cage, he usually turns upside down, not wanting to go in for nightie nightie. Tonight he just sat in my finger, and when placing him inside the cage, he gave my hand a quick kiss...... bless his beautiful kind soul

Glad to say all went well earlier this morning.
Mishka had his usual shower, was dancing in the bath and willing stepped up onto my hand without any problem.
When picking him up after his shower, I know tell him give mommy a kiss and he now kisses my hand when stepping up.

We are in the middle of winter, temperature is only 13deg
He hates being toweled dried
Do you really expect me to let him dry naturally?
He loves being blow dried as you will see below

He hates being toweled dried

and he definetly didnt mean it. lol

not sure how blowdrying became a point of discussion here; I have heard some people blaming it for dry skin, but i havent ever had any problems (obviously keeping it at a safe distance is important) but i blowdry pickle quite often as well (also in winter here) we have a smaller cage so he can dry outside in the summer, but hes pretty bald, and its so cold at the moment i cant just leave him there shivering. <3
