Mishka - face to face with a cat OMG

OMG Sis :11: Thank goodness you were there at the time and not in the Kitchen making Coffee!! Good on Mishka though for immitating the Cell Phone and Great thinking on your part :)

Oh my goodness what a scare!

I bet when the cat heard THAT sound (cellphone sound from Mishka's beak), his hair stood up and he hauled butt quicker than the speed of lightning. :11:

I'm sorry, but I don't like when folks let their cats roam around freely. I've had encounters with one in my garage on more than one occasion - NOT a friendly kitty either. There's another one who often frequents my garden, MUCH to my dismay, especially since he's a wild bird killer. :(

Ha ha we are always making coffee Sis, thank goodness not at that particular point in time.
I am still baffled how Mishka afterwards, just climbed onto his playpen and began playing as if nothong had happened.
I never slept a wink, thinking about what had happened, Mishka slept like a KING, heard him snoring LoL

I used to cringe whenever Mishka imitated my cellphone ringtone.... suddenly it's one of my favourite sounds.

The cat did not know which direction to run in, when he heard Mishka.

I left a letter under my neighbour's door. Hubby and wiffie came to see me. There were very apologetic, knowing Mishka is one of our treasured family members.
They are going to enclose their balcony door (patch at the bottom, where the can goes and comes as he pleases) The cat will no longer have access to our balcony at all.

Thank goodness.....

How scary! I'm so glad everything turned out ok, and that they are going to prevent kitty from visiting anymore.

Wow, how scary! I'm glad all turned out o-kay and that the neighbors were understanding and respectful of your request. My cat, Tiger and my TAG, Penny, have come eye to eye but thank goodness I was right there. Tiger got a little too close and Penny let him know it by grabbing his ear. Now he keeps a respectful distance from Penny. Tiger will by my last cat as he's 16 and I don't want another cat that could put Penny in any danger.

Lets pray they stick to their word. I mentioned to her about when her cat caught a bird, she denied it and said the cat was only carrying the dead bird. I saw the cat killing the bird dugh.....

Goodness, that is a worry!

We just had to install metal wire fencing all around our yard because the neighbours are too lazy to fix their broken fence so their dogs kept getting into our yard!!

I've ordered acrylic panels for my bird cages to stop snakes/rats/dogs from getting to my birds.

So, so glad to hear that Mishka is OK!

OMG the cat is no worry compared to your situation,, snakes and rats
I would totally freak out.
Pray your birds will always be safe :grey:

I am so glad everything turned out ok for you both! I got sick to my stomach after reading that just thinking about what could have happened to him and then you as a result! What a scare! I have a cat and I am worried she will stalk around my bird like she does with our hamster lol! Maybe you can try spraying lemon juice around your balcony to help repel the cat. They hate citrus smells and more importantly, it would be safe for Mishka. Take care!

Wow that is so scary, I am so glad the cat didn't attack. Chloe wants to tell Mishka that she could happily teach him how to bite dog's noses very well and scare them away if that ever becomes and issue! Also, that ringtone is awesome and would have scared me too!!

I am not popular with my neighbour AT ALL

When returning home from work today, my neighbour was outside her apartment.
I greeted her, got a cold hello........
Asked how was her baby Shiloh .... fine

I then mentioned that her cat has not been in our apartment again, and thanked her.

Her reply to me....
Well Sarafina WON"T be bothering you EVER AGAIN
Amy then mentioned that Sarafina is NOW living with her mom.
Said they can't live with the cat, locked in the apartment All DAY
Mentioned how cruel it was, not giving a cat freedom

My response was
How cruel it was to keep Mishkla in his cage 24/7 not knowing when
Sarafina, would "visit" again, mentioning that it was not safe, even in our "own" apartment..........

You are over re-acting Antoinette, I said really Amy.......... what if a stray cat entered your apartment, and attacked Shiloh?

I then walked away, with a BIG smile on my face, knowing Mishka will be safe.

LOL... At least you got the last word in:)

You will have an easier mind now, knowing the Cat will not be calling again:)

I do not believe in arguing, shouting and being rude, definitely not in my nature. Steven turns 21, this year, we have never had an argument, I am not joking. :)

I never ever indicated that Amy must get rid of Sarafina, my request was that the cat does not come into our aprtment ever.

 I never ever complained before, when Sarafina kept digging into our pot plant, or slept in it. Never menioned how Sarafina, kept crying at our door, and scratching it, when they had gone out, not leaving a window open for her to get back in.

I must admit it is a relief, knowing Mishka will be safe in his own space.
