Mishka cousin is coming to visit

The sound was an ear piercing electrical peep.

I can sympathise with you on that 1, Shadow did the same thing after the smoke dectector in the back room was indicating the battery needed changing. I tested all the detectors in the house before I realised it was her..... thank God she didn't keep it going.

Final Chapter
Zazo and Mishka kissed goodbye last night.
When taking Zazo out towards the door, in his travel cage, Mishka flew off her playpen, I think she realized that he was leaving
Zazo seemed okay, just going with the flow.
I sat with Mishka later on, telling her over and over again that Zazo has gone home.
We did our training, and later on she went to sleep.
This morning, when walking into the lounge
she asked me where is Zazo?
I said Zazo has gone. She then said Zazo has gone home
She said it in a sad soft voice, my heart just melted.

I spend more than usual time with Mishka during the day, in case she was feeling "love sick"

I am happy to report that Mishka is back, she chatted and whistled all day. I have never heard her so loud, I swear her voice was going "horse"
She whistled with such feeling, giving it all that she has got.

When sitting on her playpen tonight, I noticed she was very "alert" and kept looking for Zazo, often calling him.

Hoping the cousins had a fabulous vacation together.

Talking to Mishka is like talking to a human honestly. I ask her questions and she answers, and visa versa.


I wish Mishka could have met Alex, I would have loved to see her re-action and how they got along, perhaps falling in love

I still get when Mishka call for Zazo. Then I have to remind her Zazo has gone home. Eventually she stops calling him and says Zazo has gone home HEY. Hey is a word she loves to emphasis.

There is a big change is Mishka's, since Zazo left. She now chats, and plays non stop all day. I got worried seeing her just sitting there, staring at him.

Oh not me, LOL. Zazo will be too much for me at the moment. But hopefully Zazo gets to spend some time with Mishka again in the future

So the two cousin's have been apart for almost 3 days, since Zazo returned home on Thursday evening.

Mishka, being Mishka was being herself in no time Thank God. She often still asks for Zazo, and whistles for him. She now says Zazo has gone home, bye bye Zazo.

Nikki told me earlier today, Zazo refused to come out his cage. They had tried everything in the book, without success, until they mentioned Mishka's name, he become very excited, started saying HEY (Mishka's every second word LoL) and climbed out the cage. He then walked around, looking all over, for Mishka.

The other problem, was getting Zazo back in the cage. From one extreme to the next LoL. When he was here, he spent so much time out of the cage on Mishka's playpen, and in her cage, playing the with all her toys, the bells and chains etc.
I guess he had more fun, then sitting on top of his cage.

I guess they are pinning for each other, more than what we would understand.
So I guess the only other alternative would be for them to visit each other, over a weekend, during the day.

Mishka did learn something from her beloved cousin
Mishka is making the most amazing beautiful sound, just like a Owl
Now I know she is definitely missing her lover.

Actually the sound you're refering to, I read somewhere that when greys make and owl-like sound, it's a mating call. I could be wrong, I'm going to try and look for it the place I read it.

Thanks for that info, must say I am unaware of the sound of a mating call,
for Grey's. Will definitely look into it.

I mentioned this to Nikki. That is Zazo's favourite bird sound. They often go down to the river on weekends. Apparently there are a lot of owls there, that is where he picked it up.
