Sunny South Africa !!!
Parrots
African "Grey"
"Mishka"
Male
7 Years old
Yesterday, mommy was placing food in my bowl, her hands were full
One hand had the bowl, the other some strange object.

Instead of facing me, mommy stuck her arm in the cage back wards.
I saw a backhand coming my way, I got such a fright, I had to defend myself...........
I got hold of her arm, just above her elbow, with my beak, and just held it TIGHTLY
Boy oh Boy did mommy get scared, she just stood there and froze.
Mommy spoke so gently to me, saying mommy loves Mishka, eat your yummy yummy, blaa blaa blaa blaa blaa
After a few seconds, I let her go......... I never broke her skin, or drew blood..........

I just left mommy with a beautiful blue bruise, to remind her NEVER to do that again. :grey:

That sounds like Dusty when I put new toys in his cage. He hates change.

apparently Mishka doesnt like something different entering her cage either.

Not that she dislikes anything different entering her cage.
It was 100% my fault.

Imagine what she thought, this big arm, coming a such a speed, just missing her face !!!!

She forgot to mention that she was sitting on the side of her food bowl.

Guess I have learnt a lesson from her LoL

I really wish I could meet Mishka, she sounds quite entertaining.

Entertaining is definitely the word.....

She had me in fits of laughter this morning (at least this time I laughed) :D

I placed her on her swing (far away from her food bowl)
then put her pellets in her bowl

THEN she says Oh Oh Trouble...... I started laughing, she then said to me Oh shut up.... how dare you

With a parrot that talks so much, you never know will come up next.

I swear they have a sense of humor, just like us humans.

Mishka is my entertainment 24/7 :grey:

The chunk of flesh would have been the size of her beak, and it's quite big eish.
Mishka forgot about the incident almost immediately, not me LoL

At night she plays like she is biting my finger, when she nips a little bit to hard, I make although I am crying, and she stops immediately.

Oh yeah, Mishka forgot to tell you all, I also made crying sounds, then she let me go. I guess if we never played the "nip" game, she would have have a real fresh dinner haha

Mishka just held on to my arm real tight, never drew blood or cut skin.

LoL maybe she was giving me a "birdie love bite" :)
