Yup, middle school a rush of hormones, sort of like continuous Vulcan Pon Farr. (Star Trek Mr. Spock reference) My middle school years can burn in the hell I don't believe in lol. πŸ”₯

Lol
I was actually only bullied in 3-5 grade, and not in middle school. It's a small private school, so everyone's a bit more respectful.

I always invalidate my own emotions and problems so I probably won’t be talking about it here…but I will definitely listen to what all of you have to say ❀️
Laura, thanks for sharing ❀️

It's super easy to make people feel uncomfy...

I kinda don't get it. If I share my abuse to try to get help, many people say 'woah, TMI, jeez'. But if I don't, they're like, 'whats wrong, you can tell me'.

I just don't like making things about myself. I've never considered getting help. It makes me feel like a burden which doesn't help at all. And neither does finding other people are the same way.

Thank you I feel hugged!
That was all a long time ago. I never asked for help either or talked to my parents and teachers about it. Things were different then.

Its better now , bullies are less tolerated, and talking about mental health and stress is easier. Not perfect, lots of room to improve .

This probably the most i have talked about it. And I think that's good

Plus parrots! Parroys are great give me so much joy

Glad to know you're doing better and YES. Parrots changed my life forever. They are my little emotional support animals and the only things keeping me sane at this point

And you’re also painfully aware that maybe people don’t actually want to listen to you, which just makes you feel guilty for wasting their time
Now, Jasper - he will listen and even though he’s a silly little buttface, when I need him…he understands
For my budgie's time, I must pay a millet tax.

Also, my two albino corys, Snowflake and Banana died, so I put Moose in with the goldfish and he's happier than he was with other corys.

Well, my first comment in this thread sure went sideways!
I was originally go to discuss labels/labeling and as I was gathering thoughts throughout the thread and the developing play on words, my original focus changed! And apparently, I discovered an extremely offensive label!
Labels are name tags we either hang on our selves, or allow others to define us! Why is this bad? If that’s all you want to be, then for you it isn’t bad! It gives you a safe place to hide!
’Oh, I’m old so I don’t have to work hard!’
’Oh, I’m antisocial, so it’s OK for me to be a jerk!’
We can redefine each and every day! As long as you are willing to refuse to put on the suit you were told to wear!
Another way to look at it is roll playing instead of labeling- just as bad!
’Oh I’m a minority, and everyone owes me a living!’ Bullcrap!
My great grandmother was an American Indian slave! Sold into my family line! Oh poor me!
Redefining one’s self is another way of saying, β€˜pulling yourself up by your bootstraps’!
No one can do that for you/me! BUT-BUT-BUT! So called self help come from being open to the thoughts of others! Be it professional, or that silly jingle on the radio!
As far as being judgmental? Apparently, I will need to start a separate thread where Flat-earthers feel safe!

I'm gonna pretend I understood a word of that
