Well, the day's almost here! Remember, if she's about to throw a fit, crinkle a plastic bag. Oh my gosh, you'll probably want to get a video of her when you crinkle a plastic baggie. Noah loses his mind when he hears one of those. It's absolutely adorable.

What food did you get for her? Hopefully my TOPs and Golden'obles will be in this week -_- It's slim pickings right now.

Yes, wrench13, these guys are definitely fearless and have bad tempers. The first few months, Noah kept picking fights with my mom. And my gosh, he kept getting into fights with our 3lb chihuahua. Thank goodness he's calmed down. Can't believe he wasn't killed, given the number of times he savaged everyone.

Yes! Today is the day! I'm leaving in about half an hour to pick her up. Cage is set up, at least mostly, vet visit scheduled for Monday morning. And I have a plastic bag at the ready LOL. I went with Harrison's pellets to start. They seemed like the least worrisome of the stuff I can get locally. And I got stuff to make chop and lots of veggies to share with her. Update and pics coming this afternoon!!

What, you don't trust good old Kaytee Exact Rainbow "Now with extra salmonella!"? What about Topcrops Budgie and Parakeet seed, with 100% nutrition?

"Topcrop Budgie & Parakeet Food has been formulated as a 100% complete and balanced diet for all domestic Budgies and Parakeets. Since your pet is a creature of habit, it is important to establish a constant location for the food cup, and only feed what will be consumed in a 24 hour period. Unlike many other pets, birds have virtually no body fat reserve, and will perish quickly if they go without food for even one day. Take care to clean out the food cup from all seed hulls each day when it is replenished. Always maintain a fresh supply of water that is accessible continuously. Should your pet’s food become contaminated with urine, droppings or water, discard the soiled food, wash out and dry the dish and replace with a fresh supply. Although supplementation is not necessary, you may want to occasionally give your Budgie or Parakeet a treat, such as a seed stick, or one of many other prepared treats on the market."

Ingredients: Canary grass seed, white prosso millet, oat groats, mineral oil

Why did I find a died safflower seed shell in it? And what magical land does this seed grow in that it's able to provide budgies with all the vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and amino-acids they could ever need? Yes, I did indeed run out of pellets and organic millet. Thankfully my order is ready to be picked up on Monday . And no, I only picked up the nasty Topcrop seed. Nobody's desperate enough to buy from Kaytee.

Yeah, that advice is pretty sound . Not sure about feeding seed sticks as "supplements", though. Did you bring Bumble home, yet?
