This is the newest addition to my flock. A 4 year old IRN named Blue. I was told that her name was Pipsqueak originally, but she has been called Blue for some time now and so that's what we will call her. She's a total sweetheart! She plucked herself at one time, but has since regrown almost everything. She looks a little rough, but she's molting right now. I'm told that within a month or so she'll look completely normal again. Her legs are pretty bare, but that's ok.

Thanks everyone! I wasn't going to take her initially. But the situation was such that I said I'd give her a try for a few days. Yeah, well we all know how that goes. :D

Bruce, I am so thrilled to hear that you are definitely keeping this beautiful girl!!
I can't wait to hear more about her:)

Oh yeah, almost forgot! She seems to be potty trained! She was on my shoulder and chest for about a half hour and never pooped. So I asked the girl who had her before (Blue was her Dad's bird) and she said that he never got pooped on either. So last night I held her for a bit and when she started getting antsy I had her step up, held her over the trash can and said, "ok, poop". And she did! BONUS!! LOL

These pics show how rough she is. Her nails are long because they didn't want to stress her out with a trim after just getting some of her feathers back. Soon.

Bruce, I can't wait to see pictures of her once you have had a chance to work your magic with her:) She looks beautiful now, and her beauty will only continue to grow.
She is a lucky girl to have found you.

What a beautiful girl! Congratulations on your new addition, and I'm glad she's making a steady recovery with her feathers. Shiko just sent a nice hello and kissy sounds her way ;)

I had to move her cage. She seems to be in love with...the thermostat. If she's outside of the cage, she climbs down and tries to reach it. If she's on my shoulder near the cage, she tries to get on the cage to climb down to reach it. When she's inside the cage, she paces back and forth, plotting ways of getting to it. (please ignore the rough walls. I'm painting in the spring)
