Max is a real beauty. I have one that is about 14 weeks old now. I named him Cricket. This little guy has no fear at all. He is into and onto everything and everybody. Love him so much. Your Max has gorgeous coloring. cricket tends to be a little darker on the head and feet. You are in for some real fun.

He likes putting his foot under his chin like this. It looks like he's deep in thought lol.

BEAUTIFUL! These little yellow sided's have absolutely STOLE MY HEART!

Our first one adopted us May 29th, he was hatched on March 15th. He's the most joy we've experienced owning a bird. We also have 2 tiels whom we love dearly as well, but there's something about our Franklin's bold personality, his acrobatics and his sometimes crazy antics that keep us cracking up. You can see pictures of him if you click on my call name and view my albums...I've uploaded many pictures of our birds.

I'm sure you are going to absolutely enjoy your little jewel as much. Thanks for showing him off. :D

Take care,

Toni

oh my god.. AWWWww factor is melting my resolve!! doggoneit you guys, Ive got my heart set on a TAG. This is SO not nice, I want one now!! what am I going to do with two birds?

PS.. is it strange if I think a GCC is better looking then a sun conure? I was told to get one of those, but... I am just not attracted to those... I really like the GCC.. its a tie.. between the TAG and the GCC. and I really dont know what bird I want more.

ps. Rio Mom..he looks as if hes getting ready to do some major mischief. I cant stop giggling.

Tsk Tsk...who needs a TAG when a GCC is everything and then some? :D But in all honesty? OUCH! That's a tough choice! However, knowing me...I'd go for the GCC mostly because I think they are a slight bit less needy than a TAG. Franklin is a VERY GOOD independent player and his deep gruff and slightly rough voice is absolutely adorable! Not loud at all..he's trying to talk he's got a very old time, tough, roughstock cowboy growl going on. And when he get's on my shoulder and whispers to my ear...OMG! Talk about melt me...have NO CLUE what he's saying but it's soo adorable!

And, actually, I don't think it's strange, I think GCC's are beautiful too.

I have the baby GCC as you know and Rosie a TAG. Cricket will attack Rosie if they are close to eachother. He wants to be the only bird. Not going to happen. I did not want to get another powder down bird but I know greys get along with greys better than mixed species.

ps. Rio Mom..he looks as if hes getting ready to do some major mischief. I cant stop giggling.

He definately looks like he's contemplating what to do next..... eat moms necklace or ring, eat dads ring, eat the keyboard, the mouse, the mouse pad... decisions decisions..... lol

OMG yea right twords the jewelry! I had this ring I got when I was 16 for my birthday, from my dad when we went to hawaii. I had it for less then 6 months when I visited a friend who had a cockatiel. the bird hadent been out for more then 10 minuets when it came to me, and in 5 seconds flat, it went to my ring and plucked out the stone. I was shocked, I held out my hand and as if like magic, she dropped it into my waiting palm, as if to say, "here, see what I can do?" then looked up at me, all inncently.

I was horrified, but what can you do? she was a bird and she was only doing what birds do. her owner was upset, I think she was more upset that I Wasent angry about it then she was. she took her bird and scooted me out the door, I tried to tell her I wasent mad at the bird, but she didnt seem to understand. so I assume you have sturdy rings? I nolonger wear jewelry, because I work with animals so much now.

PS. rings fine, got it fix a few days later, was more hurt that my "friend" nolonger spoke to me.

How sad that they wouldn't talk to you anymore! :( I usually turn my rings around when I have him out to protect the stones. and hide the necklace under a shirt. And if he goes for the rings or necklaces, I try to distract him with a toy lol.
