What's the Maximum bar space for a Green Cheek Conure? I am getting mixed messages from pet stores and online.

I'm in the market for a larger cage and they range from 1/2 inch to 3/8 inch to 5/8 inch to 3/4 inch bar space.

If anyone knows of/has a larger conure cage that you find would be perfect please let me know :D I'm looking for the perfect one for my Conlan.

Thank you!

I find 3/8 is acceptable, but 1/2 is best. I keep kyo in a cage with 3/8 because of our cats, so that if they were ever to get in the room they have no easy access.

This is very similar to my cage, and has lots of space but is easy to clean and move things around in :)

this is my cage! So far so good. My only complaint is that I can't take the grate out without leaving a big gap for him to escape, but otherwise it's been great. Bars are strong enough that he can't bend them, good powder coat on it, and lots of room.

I always like to err on the side of caution... I wouldn't want to risk a certain someone getting their head stuck!

I have two of the first cage Kyoto posted. I had one for 11 years for my parakeets. I gave it away when they passed. I now have 1 for Tiki and 1 for Nacho. Needless to say I LOVE the cage. It's SO much space. Any bigger and the bar spacing usually increases.

It was incredibly easy to put together, easy to clean, and easy to maneuver. Tons of perches and toys fit.
