Mango the Petco sun conure update

I checked on mango and I heard he may have a follow up this week because he may be getting a home!!! So happy for him.

Petco's aren't all bad.. My wife works for em now.. She's the bird person at her store.. She likes the job, but there are some things she hopes she can get changed...

I'm glad mango is getting a home... Keep us apprised... Too bad you aren't getting him.

Yay! Hooray for Mango!
I hope he's going to a home with a friend, it sounds like losing his friend is what started his depression in the first place.

i think even to have ATTENTION and love would help him immensely! he had lost his friend, he had the light on him 24/7 for months, didn't have a good diet, etc. having ALL of those things corrected with a new human friend will make little Mango happy, i'll bet.

oh, and i forgot, the vet said that his having been in a glass enclosure was probably driving him a little nutty. he said that situation of bright light, being alone, with limited exposure to sound in a glass enclosure makes them very stressed and 'crazy'. He has been out of there since his vet visit (but there is currently a cockatiel in there....) and i'm sure he will have a 'normal' cage in his new home.
