Mango knew what tasted good that you were eating and he was not;)

Mmm i love ice cold watermelon too. if its super red and ripe. Sometimes we get really bland watermelons here.

Since this is the season for watermelon, they're USUALLY all good right now. Last night I picked one out of a bunch (from a supermarket) and to my disappointment it was going bad inside! You couldn't tell from the outside. :(

That Mango sure looks like he's enjoying his new found yummy treat! :)

Mango looks happy with his cold melon. I love it when parrots get excited over a healthy food.

I went and stepped in the bowl by accident, but it worked out to my advantage! He said that he is not eating that now that I walked on it. Wondered why, cus i eat with my feet?!

Rap on it with your knuckles, If it sounds more hollow than the others, its riper, but we weary, too hollow sounding and its rotton xD.. You'll be able to distinguish between the good ones with practice

Also check for a yellow bottom. this usually means it was picked ripe as opposed to picked early to ripen on the way to a supermarket (Farmers market is best) If stripes go all the way around its usully not ripe.

The best method i've found is tapping on it. Again, if it sounds hollow, its ripe
