Male or female?

Hi, I had 2 parrotlets few years ago my cousin bought them and i really never knew their sex. Can someone help me please?

Parrotlets (with the exception of certain light mutations) are sexually dimorphic. If there is any blue on the underside of the wing, it's a male. Otherwise, female. DNA sexing isn't necessary.

Hi Bonjo,

I guess from the pictures that the green/yellow is a female and the pale blue is a male. As commented by Inger parrotlets are sexually dimorphic with males having blue feathers in the wings and rump.

Answering Laurasea I think mutations as lutino, creamino and albino might not have the blue feathers. Also males of pied mutations might have few blue feathers too.
