hi i am new here and very enjoy using that site and this forum.
I have two couples of love birds and last month they started build thier nest.

At this week I saw that my male and famle mated.
But i saw somethig that i didnt understand :

the man mated the famale and on the contrary ,the famle mated the male.

please help :green:

i don't know the exact reason maybe your birds have unique preferences so they like mate in this way
so interesting

Bit of an "older thread" but it might be possible that your pair may be same sex.

Skittles, my one current lovebird was bonded with another female and they both took turns on top hehe

If your pair IS proven and have had fertile eggs, it's still not uncommon to have pairs (same sex or not) do this - why exactly, I don't know
