I was wondering if anyone could scan this list and tell me if there's anything on it that shouldn't be, and also if there are any that only should be given sparingly? Anything essential not there that stands out? This will supplement fresh food, which birdie always has available. 1. Alfalfa seed 2. Amaranth 3. Buckwheat groats 4. Couscous (whole wheat) 5. Golden flax 6. Kamut 7. Millet 8. Oat groats 9. Poppy seeds 10. Quinoa 11. Rye berries. 12. Sesame 13. Sorghum (Milo) 14. Spelt 15. Sunflower seeds 16. Thistle. They didn't carry canary seed but was thinking of adding that as well. I also have Einkorn wheat berries but that's pretty expensive to give much. Thank you!

Sunflower seeds should be given in moderation. Sunflower seeds are high in fat and low in essential nutrients. Some of the grains might be a little tough for your parrot to consume (depends on what bird you have) I would recommend cooking them before giving them to your bird.
