Ancient Macaws were only prized for their feathers and mostly lived in caves according to what has been unearthed. By today's standards it was a cruel life for them. Some never saw the rainforest or ate their native food.

An Interesting read - those feathered headdresses must have been quite the industry.

A major part of Macaw's home range is the vast Amazon River Basin of which is a vast majority of beautiful Jungle.

I am tempted to post a judgmental diatribe on the mores of ancients, however our current civilization will likely be harshly censured for many contemporary practices.....
