Yesterday, my macaw ate a shelled walnut, and afterward, I noticed a lot of peeling on his lower beak.
I removed the excessive layer that was flaking and observed a white area underneath, which looked like exposed tissue or bone with some white discharge.
He's eating normally and behaving fine, but I'm curious about what happened and why this area got exposed, even though it’s hardly half an inch.
I'm worried now.
