Lol, Willow got her monthly dose of coconut oil... it's hard not to laugh when she's literally running up and down the back/sides of the cage trying to get away from you. And I think she eats about 1/3 of what I get on her, anyway.

But.... it does wonders for dry feet and facial skin, and makes that beak look young again.

Tom..I'm subscribed to "Mr Max TV". I've been a fan of Max and his parront Dan for years. Dan uses coconut oil on Maxs' "toes toes toes beak beak beak" lol and the oil works well. I've added a small amount to Amys food on occasion also.

Not much I imagine, it helps to melt in your hands a little bit, it's a lot like Crisco until it melts. It helps and it's good for them, I should do it more often.

I tried this on Rocky 'Too and he was NOT HAPPY. Emphatically NOT HAPPY. Gave me the stink eye for an hour NOT HAPPY. I offered to let him taste it first. NO. He did NOT want to cooperate. He did not want a spa day for his beak or his toesies. NOT HAPPY.

my congo goes into fight mode when she gets a sniff of the coconut oil. this is the only time she will bite the shit out of me. I live in a very dry part of the country and her beak gets very dry and cracking. I smear her beak with it once a week and her feet every 3 to 4 weeks.
