Hello I have a military macaw and would like to know the info on the band have the letters and numbers but do not know how to read them. Is there anyone who can help with this?:green1:

Can you type it how it reads here? There are several links I can help with if I do not know. Also, is it a flat band or rounded?

must type up mine aswell cause dont know which part is the start of the number

Like grey cloud says, post it on here. I can try to help too. There's different bands out there. Most would put the year, which is most likely the year they were born. Some bands even have the month posted as well. The state the breeder is registered, abbreviation of the breeder's company. Etc...

I would recommend getting the band removed by an avian veterinarian. I got the band removed on Bella because I didn't want to for it to get caught on her toys, cage, etc. It could potentially cause an injury and I didn't want to risk that!

I couldn't agree more! But its up to the individual. I've had a bird that lost her foot because of leg band.

Patterson, "1" is first chick of that species hatched, PSUK is Parrot Society of UK, LHC is breeder initials or aviary name, "10" is hatch year and W is ring size. You could contact the Parrot Society of UK to ask the ID letters of the aviary or brreder.

cool cheers greycloud, yea i know the breeder anyway get all my birds from him thanks for the info
