Are you certain this is a bout a kakapo and not a certain ? Because it really sounds more like it's about a Kiwipo than a kakapo Especially that "runs up a tree and flies like a brick" part

knowing a couple scientists of different vocations I can tell you it happens more often than you'd think. Seeing my friend with his bachelors in astro-physics lose 2 days of sleep all because he forgot to square one of the numbers in his work was hilarious just for his reaction when he realized what he had done. Or my engineer friend who is perpetually confused by Ikea furniture
