Josie - blue and gold macaw
So, today, we were playing with Josie and my son wanted me to put her on his back so he can give her a little ride. She was so funny, and at one point, he flex his back up and she took flight. She screamed like a little girl on a swing for the whole 12 inches that she flew. We did get it on video, but I don't know how to post video here. Does anyone else's macaw scream while they fly? It's hilarious!!

That is so cute! I haven't put any videos on a forum yet either.I'm not very good at taking videos & don't want to show anything I have taken so far. Most seem to use youtube for videos.

My Roscoe is flying a good bit now, but he doesn't scream while flying. I can't allow him to fly very far, my rooms are too small & too much he could get tangled in if he did.

I do think that screaming while flying is a natural thing they do in the wild. So Josie was letting her wild~child~side loose.

My macaw doesn't know how to fly and the few times she has glided twenty feet or so she has been silent. Too surprised I think. We had a little Quaker for years that would fly around the house looking for my husband and screaming with every wing beat. You always knew when Lulu was coming, and she delighted in flying low and loud over the head of the macaw which always scared the s..t out of her. Would love to see your video.
