Kix hurt his leg... :(

Kix got his leg band stuck on the bottom grate in the cage.. somehow there was a slit in the grate wire and well needless to say Kix found it. His leg is not broken by any means... He is using it every so often... I think he just brusied it. He wasn't stuck for long... not even 5 mins as I was able to hear / see odd behavior. After a nice bite into my finger from his panic attack I decided to get a towel and get him off like that... He was a bit shaken up and was just laying in my hand for a while... He was still flying around and standing on my shoulder so he isn't acting too abnormal...
No i do not feel he needs to see a vet as he is attempting to use his leg and it is not broken... It's more so you biting your finger and then putting pressure on it ... that kind of pain. I'm assuming anyhow as I said he was not stuck for a long period of time. His leg is not flimsy or anything so. I made him a fleece hanging bed and put him in it and he is laying in there keeping warm so he heals faster...
I was holding him for a good 30 mins after to calm him down. I think he will be fine but i'd be lying I said I wasn't concerned...

With his momma's love he will.... one of the main reasons why I don't like leg bands....

he is using his leg now. =) once in a blue moon he lifts it up but for the most part he is back to normal.
