Let the birds keep watching the videos, they love it! There is a show on around noon on the Hallmark channel called Petkeeping that even my cat watches. It features Mark Marrone, who owns Parrots of the World in NYC. It isn't just birds though, it's every critter you can think of. It's hilarious to see them all together and fascinating for my animals. I put on an episode I taped awhile ago yesterday. There was a large number of ringnecks and related bird all chattering away. Rowdy loved it. Pete was first concerned, then he actually tried to climb into the TV, lol! Then something about it scared him again, so he isn't that enthusiastic about the show compared to Rowdy. I bet with time he starts to love it as much as the other 2 do.
We also watched a show that was on Animal Planet over the weekend. It was several videos of animals doing funny things. Of course many parrots. One video was a YN singing and Pete started singing along with it. Then the next video was a dog howling along with a blues type rhythm his owner was playing on guitar and Pete whistled a very nice tune. That was the first time I found out he can whistle.
