He’s definitely not snapping it. He’s also yawning/preening/eating in front of us which in all my other pets are signs of comfort. Thank you for your input btwIf he was actually grinding his beak not snapping it I always took that as a contented sound. Not sure in this situation. Likewise the wing and leg stretching I've always associated with comfort and contentment.
To me it sounds like he is really not upset. Probably more confused as his world has just changed and parrots generally don't like change.
