The first difference between the kakariki man and the kakariki pop is the format, the man is typically much bigger and larger than the pop. The second difference between male and female is the size of the beak and the width of the head. The man clearly has a larger beak and a wider head. The third difference is the drawing of the head, both at the yellow-fronted kakariki and the Red forehead kakariki is the color of the forehead or hood better develops and runs the hood further by past the eyes. Both the wild colors, there is still a clear difference and that is the wing stripe at the bottom of the wings. In young femail birds there is clearly a band of yellow-and-white spots on the underside of the wings. In males, this band but very vague.

I had a look under the wings, the feathers are yellow but there are no white spots and the wings are clipped.
In your opinion based on the pics that i have provided, what do you think the sex may be Marileen?

In my opinion, it is a mail Danielle, if I look at the red round his eyes.
He also has a broad head.
But he is VERY BEAUTIFUL!!!!
And he also looks very healthy!
Beautiful bright colors!
