Its hard to tell. When my Conures eat pellets theres alway a bunch of dust left over. Seems like whatever crumbles and falls out of their mouth doesnt get eaten.

Birds can be so wasteful! I try to tell them about all the starving birds in India but they look at me like don't even care!

Birds are top eaters and commonly leave lots of crumbs behind as they eat, test and move on in their Natural habitats.

The fact that your Parrot is eating its seed and crushing the pellets indicates that eating is happening. Pellet dust is commonly carried in with the seed.

If your goal is to switch over to all pellets, I would not proceed down that road as some pellets can be overloaded with additives they may not need.
