Hello everyone. Things have gotten a bit sad with Finley's situation but our home (and Ollie) didn't quite feel complete with just one bird in the house.
The day I got Paris I did not plan on getting a bird because I was so heartbroken over Finley but that's what makes her so special. She (dna) is not Finley's replacement but more like a little angel with turquoise wings. Thank you little one for continuing to help our family heal. I love you already sweet girl! I will tell the story of how I ended up getting her when I least expected it on our story thread in the near future.
Paris (4 months old) is a sweet, spunky and curious little one who is working on her training day by day. She is not overly nippy which is good and she enjoys humans and is in no way afraid of hands. She's loves snuggles and hanging out on the big java wood tree in her free time. She has been completely tested for all possible contagious diseases so her and Ollie have met. He does not care for her as of yet. They can be together on the same tree and do their separate things and they don't bother each other (unlike Fin who followed Ollie around non-stop). If Ollie is forced to be too close to her he'll give a warning nip but nothing serious. Even though he doesn't really like her I can tell he enjoys having another bird around as he was clearly sad before we got her.
I have to say that I noticed that GCC are COMPLETELY different than the larger medium conures like Finley and Ollie.
Here are some pictures of Paris!
