After some thinking and planning, I decided to get Aries a friend, this is Anzu. Unsexed (wish I knew the gender haha help is appreciated), but is hand tame. :)

Anzu seems to have a very easy going personality, handled nail trims, doesn't mind being pet (including back, head, etc.) and is just very gentle. I think he or she is going to be a great companion.

Congratulations on your new flock member!
I also have an Anzu :) She is a female budgie (thought she was a he when I got her). Love the name!

Your Anzu is gorgeous. I love green cheeks so much, and turquoise is my personal favorite mutation. You're in for some serious double trouble.

Any advice on what I should do bringing this new conure home?

That's one beautiful GC you have there.I love the more delicate colour changes smaller Conure have.

I have a Black Capped Conure that has a Tourquoise patch across his shoulders but you cannot see it all the time as it's kind of on the underside of his feathers and it's like a little secret he shares with me sometimes.

Hope the introductions to your other bird go well.

Thank you! Any advice on how I should interact and treat my green cheek his/her first week home? Should I give mine some alone time to settle in or sit by me as I'm doing stuff?

I feel like Anzu, though a little reserved, has a lot of potential. Really gentle, just seems a little unsure of everything right now xD

Although Anzu is clipped, I would still be cautious to take Anzu outside without a harness. Depending on what method of clip was used for wing clipping.....

I usually work with all my birds from day one, interaction right away have always worked for me. But for some it just takes time and patience. Just do whatever you feel comfortable doing. Just make sure you quarantine the new arrival away from Aries for the time being. It is always a number one priority to make sure Anzu is safe and healthy before introduction to Aries.

So you think handling and holding Anzu on day 2 is acceptable?

anzu will let me pick him up, no aggression or biting. He will just kinda jump away after a bit, is that ok?

My bcc has turquoise on some neck feathers and wings! He's beautiful!!! I love some of the color mutations they have. :)

He probably just want to explore as they're fascinated about everything right now.
