Happy Friday everyone. :)

First thing I saw on my PC when I went online was this:
East Coast readies for 'Frankenstorm' monster - Yahoo! News

As I continued reading and looking elsewhere for more info I found that:
Officials dub Hurricane Sandy 'Frankenstorm,' odds of hitting N.J. increase | NJ.com

Needless to say I went onto weather.com and ended up with an instant headache.

I don't know WHAT will be in store for us, all I know is that I will begin preparations immediately. Tonnage of garden ornaments, outdoor furniture needs to be put away, potted plants need to be secured as well as our BBQ.

And of course we have to prepare for the possibility of a power outage. Luckily we have a generator - but that won't help us a bit with heating the house IF it gets really cold. :(

For any and all of you who will be affected by this: GOOD LUCK! Don't wait til the last minute to prepare. Start now.

REMEMBER YOUR ANIMALS! Be sure you have plenty of bottled water, enough food, etc. A first aid kit should be at your disposal as well.

Good luck, Wendy. I'm in MD and we're not supposed to get it as bad as you, but we'll still get hit. Of course, they also keep reminding us that it could change course and slam us instead of you.

I'm going shopping this afternoon for supplies. Just in case!

Stay safe!

Thank you all very much. :)

I don't know of any animal friendly shelters, but I can promise you all that NONE of my animals would EVER be left behind.

I do worry about my Mother in law. She's in Brigantine, an island, RIGHT by the water, and last year, before Irene hit, I called her and BEGGED her to evacuate. She refused. I had my oldest son on standby, ready to drive 90 miles and GET HER out. Luckily it was made mandatory for all residents to evacuate, and she called, letting me know they were on their way to Delaware (relatives).

I don't know why, but I have a VERY uneasy feeling about THIS storm.:(

I will keep you all posted, and again thank you all very VERY much. :)

Thanks if you hear of any shelter let me know
