I have a female Indian ringneck that I have had for about three years. She is semi tame and is kind of bonded with me.she is very hormonal all the time so I decided to get a Male to cage her with in my aviary. They have been together for two weeks now but really show no signs of bonding. I have tried to totally ignore the female when I go into the aviary to feed. if she lands on me I just shoo her away and I have paid no attention to her but she still is somewhat aggressive when the male gets too close. I have been putting chamomile tea in their drinking water for over a week now. Any suggestions that would help them find would be greatly appreciated as far as different foods to feed them or whatever. TIA:whiteblue::whiteblue:

Just because Humans think it is a great idea does not mean that the Parrots will agree!

IMHO, it would be a wonderful idea to separate the two and work at redeveloping your relationship with the hen and also develop a relationship with the new male.

FYI: breeding parrots is expensive, time demanding, and requires extensive knowledge that rarely works based on OJT (on-the-job-training). Plus, having a Certified Avian Vet available is helpful. Also, the downsides are huge...

See the Breeders Forum here on Parrot Forum and read, read, read.
