I started ordering dog and bird supplies from Petco. Online is a lot cheaper and I can find more items than in the stores. I also use E Bates to purchase through, getting a little cash back is never a bad thing, right?

So this last round, if I spent $60, I would get free shipping and $10 off, sweet. So I ordered Buzz his first, mounted foraging toy with four drawers to meet the $60, ended up pay $48, and got $2.50 back dropping total spent $45.50 so I count the toy as a free bonus of sorts. Yes I love deals and saving!

I've been making foraging toys and will continue but Husband and I have been watching him. He has had it one day and has already figured out how to open the upper drawers, get his treat, THEN HE CLOSES THE TOP DRAWER TO GET HIS TREAT FROM THE BOTTOM DRAWER!!!!! Now if he could master opening his cage door to exit his cage and close it when he goes back in his cage like Venus. She does do this, lol! But I love that Buzz is happy with his toy.

So smart! Hide the car keys! Go Buzz!

I have been asked by several people as to when I know that my Amazon should be free roaming! The first stage of a two part process is when, they can open and close their cage doors when ever they wish. The second is when they 'fully' disassemble the cage. At that point, it is pretty much a mute point!

Foraging Toys: Here our DYHA takes a very interesting approach to solving the problem of opening them! His approach is to find the highest point in the house and drop the toy from that height! If it fails to open, he leaves to for his 'Favorite Sweetheart' to pick-up. At present, that is the open staircase where he gets just short of 20' in height!

Buzz and Julio are likely communicating after hours on some chat forum. Oh yaaa, Julio and Kiwi have been like sharing insights on dismaying their Owners, okay 'support staff!'

FYI: The Canada Geese Offices have been around again! Must be new staff! So, Julio had this group doing the front yard /back yard thing as he would fly from the front yard to the back yard windows Goose calling! It just does not get old watching these 'professional' get sucked into his game!

When it was time for Smokey to go to bed, she'd let me know,in no uncertain terms..GOOD NIGHT!..GOOD NIGHT!! as she climbed into her house, turn around, and CLOSE THE DOOR  But she never did learn how to latch it..Given time, however,I bet she would have eventually figured it out :52:
Smart boy Buzz! Keep your mommy on her toes, wondering what next you'll cook up!

Perjo doesn't unlock her cage but when it is unlocked she can open and close the door to how she exactly wants it to be, doesn it every day. And there is perfect spot she likes it open to.

Chewy.com is another great pet site. Free shipping and the best prices. I ordered a transport kennel for Gus and it was too big...I called the up about exchanging, they ordered me a new one and credited the big one...I said, wait, don't credit me yet, I need to send it back first. Nope, they don't want it back, people don't want to buy returned crates, just donate it to a local rescue. Great people.

can I ask for a pic of the toy you are speaking of? I need to get some more brain toys for my flock

I tried the last foraging toy Buzz manhandled. Timneh is still afraid to go near it. Buzz must be double Timnehs size to grab it like that video. Timneh is only 303 grams. Knock on wood but Timneh doesn't seem interested in busting out of her house. I'm sure as she gets older she will be more curious about how it works.
