I need serious help - Conure with her tail

It could be because she is clipped. Try letting her wings grow out and you will probably see an improvement. My GCC was clipped and she chewed her feathers constantly. She didn't have a tail because she chewed most of it off. I let her be flighted and it made a big difference. Are you sure she is as young as she was sold as? A lot of stores will sell older birds as younger birds.

She looks more like a cinnamon from the pictures as well.

When I took her to the vet, he said that she did look 8 months old.
She is clipped! Could be another reason. My wife and I want her to be a free-flyer, so I hope it helps.

Really? The vet said she looked like a pineapple too, to confirm everything. He's not a big fan of the pet store we got her from, so he did as much research on her to back up everything they said.
He observed her behavior for over an hour as well. He said she was as healthy as could be and as happy as could be.
Which was very reassuring.

She's very socialized and happy. That's why I was just concerned about this chewing habit.

It's hard to tell how old they are at eight months because they already have quite a mature looking beak and they are usually going through a molt at that age.

Cinnamons and pineapples look very similar, especially the dull coloured pineapples. What colour is she under her wings?

They're blue with hints of red and white. She doesn't let us stretch out her wings yet.

If she is yellow underneath them it means she is a pineapple. If she is green underneath them it means she is a cinnamon.

Are you sure she's pulling them out? It seems more like she is molting. My Mother's Blue Crowned Conure is losing tail feathers as well.

I believe so. The first one I posted she pulled out, definitely. And this one, we saw her messing around with her tail and then there it was.

Sometimes if a feather is old and ready to come out the bird will kind of pull it out.
