I moved my budgie in the same cage with her, and she bonded so quickly with my male budgie, she doesn't want to stay with me anymore, everytime i take her out of the cage, she'll fly right back in it with my budgie.. I don't want to put them in separate cages again because i feel like they will be sad without each other..

Maybe not a popular opinion, but I feel compelled to say it anyway: PLEASE separate them! I see the potential for issue here. Tiels can easily be bullied by budgies, strange as that sounds. I would keep your budgie and tiel in side by side cages and let them play together, but I personally would not house a tiel with a budgie.

If they let each other eat and drink should at the very least be monitored closely. If I were to decide to try and attempt anything similar, I would make sure the cage was huge, and I would be weighing both birds daily.

Yes I agree, it is inadvisable to house cockatiels and budgies together. They can interact outside of the cage under supervision.

My tiel went from being silent and boring to a rambunctious little rascal that loves to sing and whistle to me in the car and when I take him out of the cage. He sings to the kids too when they are around. But it took a year for him to come out of his shell. I feel like he still is coming out of his shell. You have to be patient. parrots take a long time sometimes to feel completely comfortable. Getting frustrated so soon is a mistake. Give the little guy/gal time.

definitely don't house them together, Budgies are very high strung little birds who are quick to nip and bully others, your tiel gets pushed enough and there could easily be a fight that you're not able to stop. separate cages, own space, no competition
