Female African RingNeck (KIWI)
So just today I was talking to Kiwi and as she turned around I saw about 2-4 blue tail feathers! I am not sure if that is a common trait of an African Ringneck or more of an indian ringneck trait...does anyone have any insight on this to confirm?

Hm, I don’t remember if I took notice of it in any of the ARNs that I have seen.

I guess I need to do more research.

Sorry, can't help, but just wanted to say that she really is lovely! Her beak is so different from an IRN and it gives her a lovely, subtle little face!

Hey no problem. Thank you. And yes, her beak is different, it's black. I know she is still young and sometimes the colors and things change so i will just have to wait until then to see any differences.

Short answer is yes. It's hard to get pictures of my ARN's tail feathers since she's usually facing me rather than facing away... so I can't get pictures of the color of her tail feathers very easily...
