I Getting a caique. Probably. I hope.

I looking into getting a new bird. I fell in love with caiques and i really really want one. I heading to a bird fair in a couple weeks with the possibility of maybe handing one there. Or there is a store that is selling them here i might be interested in after the fair.


My question. What do you guys think is a resonable price for one and what is too much? What do you guys think (if they have any) the prices will be at the bird fair?

It depends on where you live but around here I usually see them for $800-1500, they are definitely not cheap birds, that's partially why we adopted our conure instead, they seemed kind of similar in behavior but without the crazy price tag. Just keep in mind, you do kind of get what you pay for, if you see a $200 caique at the bird fair I would start asking some serious questions to make sure he was healthy and not stolen or anything.
