My husband has had a HORRIBLE work schedule for the past few years (10 hour shifts with 30 minute commute, some of them daytime, some graveyards, just miserable:(). While Kiwi likes me, he LOVES my husband. I know it has affected him quite a bit as he doesn't get to spend a whole lot of time with hubby. He (husband) is never awake when I wake Kiwi up in the morning (either already left for work or is still asleep because he got off at 3am).

Well my husband got a new job where he works from home (lucky for hubby Kiwi isn't a screamer when someone is on the phone). Today is his first day! This morning Kiwi woke up and I think the little guy was rubbing his eyes in disbelief:11:- his daddy was *right there*, at the desk less than 2' away where Kiwi can sit all day long and watch him:green:. He didn't even want breakfast, he just wanted to run over and sit next to his daddy. This bird is going to be SO happy with this new routine, even if he doesn't realize whats happening yet. I think we all will like this a whole lot better:D:D:D

Just the bird?!

Probably makes you and hubby a lot happier too...

Shift work SUCKS!

Aww, that's so sweet and I'm so happy for Kiwi. My hubby works long hours and most weekends, so it's hard on his birds. I'm the work-from-homer and it's such a blessing for my flock. I'm so happy for your family's change in home schedule. I hope he gets to keep that job forever.

I bet Kiwi is going to be over the moon now! He was happy 'before', now ALL his dreams have come true lol :).

Guess I never posted when he found out he got this job but trust me, we are beyond thrilled. Not just better hours and working from home, but he has been wanting to change careers for a LONG time.

Probably not;) He's always liked my husband most, but that doesn't mean he doesn't like me too:p. Kiwi's a pretty well socialized little bird. Plus, I'm the one who takes him out and about, the one who feeds him, the one who trains him and the one who gives him new toys/foraging ext... He knows this.

Congratulations to Joe! Now please let us know if Kiwi joins any calls on speaker, lol. Buddy thinks he must join mine. I'm sure Kiwi will make a great assistant, lol.
